Yinson to operate FPSO for First E&P offshore Nigeria

First Exploration & Petroleum Development Co. has contracted Yinson Holdings to operate an FPSO for the Anayala and Madu oil discoveries offshore Nigeria.

The fields are in oil mining leases 83 and 85 in the shallow-water Niger Delta, 40 km (25 mi) offshore Bayelsa State.

First has reportedly agreed a bareboat charter for the FPSO, to be named Abigail-Joseph, and the vessel could start operating on the fields by the end of this year.

Total value of the contract, which includes operations and management, is said to be more than $900 million.
