There are over one hundred illegal filling stations operatin in Ibadan, Oyo State, the Operations Controller of Independent Petroleum Marketers of Nigeria (IPMAN), Mr Ogunlana Olakunle, has said.

Speaking at the annual DPR/IPMAN forum in  Ibadan yesterday, he also disclosed that some filling stations also dispense  incomplete litres of premium motor spirit(PMS) to unsuspecting consumers by tampering with the metres at their gas stations, warning  that sanctions would be imposed on  such marketers if caught.

Ogunlana urged the marketers who operate without licence to register in time as 33 per cent of IPMAN  members in the state was operating illegally.

Also speaking, IPMAN chairman, Joseph Akanni, thanked  the Oyo State government under the leadership of Senator Abiola Ajimobi for the reduction of the fine placed on some of their members who built their outlets without the state government approval.

He said he hoped- by the time the new executive council was re-constituted, approval shall be given to the concerned marketers.
