Energy services company TechnipFMC on Monday posted a photo on social media channels showing the loading of water injection umbilicals for Total’s Egina project off Nigeria, Offshore Energy Today reports.

The umbilicals have been loaded out from Newcastle and are on their way to Total in Africa for the Egina project, the company said. The long length umbilicals, currently on board the Jumbo Vision vessel, will be installed at a water depth 1,600 meters, nearly the same depth as the Grand Canyon, TechnipFMC further added.

According to the latest AIS data, the heavy load carrier is currently on its way to Port Harcourt in Nigeria and the estimated arrival time is July 17. TechnipFMC also sent the first subsea trees for the Egina project in late February.
