TCN set to resume work at Billiri sub-station in Gombe

The Transmission Company of Nigeria yesterday visited abandoned Billiri power sub-station project in Gombe State, for an assessment for the resumption of work at the sub-station. The head of the TCN delegation, Ebenezer Fadola, said his team was in Billiri as a follow0up to the visit of Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya to the TCN headquarters where he made a case for the resumption of work at the sub-station.

Fadola said the team had concluded all findings concerning the project and its report was ready for onward submission to the Managing Director of the TCN.

He said when completed, the power sub-station would serve the four local government areas in Gombe South Senatorial District and Akko LGA of the state “thereby boosting electricity supply in the state. Governor Yahaya had last week promised to scales up action to address power supply challenges in the state.
