Neptune closing in on maiden Algeria exports

Private equity-backed Neptune Energy expects to see first exports from the remote onshore Touat gas project in Algeria within weeks.

Neptune said on Wednesday as it released results for the first quarter of the year that Touat, where Algerian state company Sonatrach is a partner, is on track for start-up in June, with 99% of the project now complete.

Neptune said this would help it to maintain group-wide production guidance of about 155,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day for the full year, weighted towards the second half.
