The Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Nsima Ekere, has pledged to bequeath a worthy legacy to the agency, The Guardian reports.

The former deputy governor of Akwa Ibom State was reacting the numerous abandoned projects that dot the beneficiary states captured by the law establishing the commission. Stating that they were inherited, he added that the present board and management were poised to complete as much as possible.

The NDDC boss said he was not oblivious of the people’s anger at the phenomenon and reminded contractors handling projects in various communities that the story of the commission must, for once, change for the better. He cautioned
against distractions, noting that his concentration was to make NDDC work.
