This plant, which has been in the works since 2018, along with those of Guider (10 MW) and Ngaoundéré (10 MW), will make it possible to balance the energy supply in the Far North region, according to the project leaders. Above all, it will be the third solar power plant of the electrician Eneo in the country, after those of Djoum and Lomié.
As part of the first stage of its strategy to promote renewable energies in Cameroon, at least 5 other photovoltaic power plant projects are programmed in Eneo’s investments. These are the solar power plants of Lagdo, Garoua, Ngaoundal, Bertoua and Yokadouma.
