The Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited has said that several months of blackout in Magboro, Ibafo, Mowe and other neighbouring communities in Ogun State will end this week as the 33KV transmission line that supplies power to the areas has been energized, The Punch reports.

According to the NDPHC, the energized line is currently undergoing series of tests to detect possible faults, adding that once the tests were completed, the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company would connect the areas.

The Managing Director, NDPHC, Mr. Chiedu Ugbo, who disclosed this on the sidelines of the 16th monthly stakeholders’ meeting organised by the company, explained that construction works on the line had been completed and urged residents of the affected communities to exercise patience.
