The Lagos State Government continued its public awareness on energy conservation, in various centres across the state, with many more residents in attendance, and receiving information on how to conserve energy and save money on consumption.
The high foot-traffic mall, E-centre, Yaba, edition of the campaign, for example, offered an opportunity for participants to take advantage of the activation of the Conserve Energy, Save Money (CESM) campaign in the neighbourhood, to participate in the experiential do-it-yourself energy consumption calculation.
During the exercise, they were able to, on their own, calculate the amount of energy they use with the energy calculator facilitated by the Lagos State Electricity Board (LSEB).
Lagosians also received more knowledge on the benefits of energy-saving bulbs over the traditional yellow bulbs as well as the need to switch off appliances when not in use.
