electric-power-lines httpwww_treehugger_comKano State government has awarded a N1.29 billion contract for the installation and supply of power supply network with a compact substation at Kwankwasiya City, near Kano.

The Commissioner for Works and Transport, Alhaji Abba Kabir, signed the contract on behalf of the state government in Kano on Friday.
Kabir said the three cities of Kwankwasiya, Amana and Bandirawo initiated by Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, would be the best modern cities in the country.

“About 60 per cent of the phase one of the cities had been completed, while the state government is in the process of commencing the construction of the second phase of the project,’’ he said.
He charged the contractors to ensure that the job was completed within schedule and qualitatively, warning that the government would not condone laxity and delay.
