The Management of Kaduna Electric has assured three communities in Kaduna metropolis, namely Kawo, Kawo new extension and Rafin Guza that the power rationing being alternated between the communities will soon be a thing of past, Spark reports.

The Team Lead, Power System Planning of the Company, Engr. Hamisu Ishaq stated this on Friday during an interview with pressmen. He disclosed that the Company is working on two options to address the perennial load shedding (power rationing) going on in the three communities.

Engr. Hamisu Ishaq assured that the Company will upgrade the armored cable on the Kawo 11KV feeder to 300mm to provide a temporary relief while a permanent solution is being worked out. “It is expected that once the NIPP 1x15MVA injection sub-station at Unguwar Dosa comes on board, the problem will be permanently solved”, he assured.
