GranEnergia has won a Total contract in Africa as its Venus flotel is to work in the Akpo full shutdown project.

Brazilian offshore services provider GranEnergia has landed a contract with French oil major Total to provide accommodation services at the Akpo deep-water field off Nigeria.

Total agreed to charter the catamaran-style compact semi-submersible vessel. Total affiliate, Total Upstream Nigeria Limited (TUPNI), operates the Akpo field in OML 130 deepwater lease.
