Reactions have continued to trail government’s handover of state-owned power utilities to private buyers with latest reaction coming from Eastern Electrics, reserved buyer for the contentious Enugu Disco.
The firm said it had expected the authorities to display greater regard for judicial process.
Communications Consultant for Eastern Electrics Mr. Don C. Adinuba in an interview with Daily Trust yesterday said the company would say little since the “…case is already in court”.
He said: “We are in court to uphold due process, the rule of law, justice and equity. We are in court to save the infrastructure and development base of the whole of the South East.
“We are confident that at the end of the day justice will triumph and the people of the Southeast will join the rest of the country in moving into a new era in Nigeria’s development,” he added.
