Faulty Afam 132kv line cause of power outage in Port Harcourt

A faulty 132kv line belonging to Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, has caused power outage in some parts of Port Harcourt metropolis in Rivers state.

The fault occurred on Thursday night. As a result, customers of Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company, PHED, residing at Borikiri Township, Government House axis, Old GRA, Forces Avenue, Diobu, Ogbunabali, UTC, UST, Ikwerre Road, among others, have been affected by the power outage.

However, the TCN technical crew is already aware of the outage and effort was in top gear last weekend to ensure that the faulty line is fixed.

PHED assured that as soon as it is done, normal power supply shall be restored to the affected areas.
