Bestfly, the Angolan special transport company via helicopters and planes, has just won a contract from the American oil company Exxon Mobil to transport its staff from Luanda to its main logistics base in Soyo. The three-year agreement includes an option to extend it for two years.
Bestfly will use one of its ATR 72-600 turboprop engines, which can carry up to 70 passengers for the 45-minute flight, four times a week.
“We had to face stiff local and international competition to win this call for tenders after very detailed audits carried out by ExxonMobil. The ATR is ideal for this mission. We have already served all international oil and gas companies as part of their repatriation plans during the Covid-19 epidemic, ” said company boss Nuno Pereira.
Bestfly has a fleet of 21 aircraft ranging from AW139 helicopters to Gulfstream business jets.
