The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC), has given three stringent conditions which if met, the company would restore electricity to Isi-Uzo, Udenu and Nsukka local government areas in Enugu State which it had cut off supply for over six weeks, Vanguard reports.

EEDC Head of Communications, Mr. Emeka Eze, said that the problem was that over 300 youths of Eha-Amufu community in Isi-Uzo LGA destroyed their property in the community and beat up their personnel which was the reason why they threw everybody into darkness since June 8 2017.

The conditions according to  Eze include written undertaking for protection of lives of the staff and properties EEDC; payment for damages of the destroyed properties and an order to produce the youths that allegedly damaged EEDC properties. He said that once the dialogue is resolved, power would be resolved in the areas.
