Chinese firm Hengye Electronics invests $20m in meter manufacturing plant in Angola

The Chinese Hengye Electronics Industry, a subsidiary of the Zhejiang Hengye Electronics group, will invest around $ 20 million in the establishment of an electrical meter manufacturing plant in Angola. The plant will be located in the special economic zone (SEZ) of Luanda-Bengo which communicated this information according to Macauhub .

It will be built on an area of ​​14,699 square meters already found within the economic zone. The establishment of this infrastructure will create 300 jobs. It will have a manufacturing capacity of 319,200 single-phase meters and 19,800 three-phase meters per year.

“Thanks to this rate of production, we will be able by 2024 to serve all prepaid consumers,” said Frederico Walamba Makilanda, the representative of the Chinese company in Angola.

Zhejiang Hengye Electronics specializes in R&D, manufacturing and sales of meter components, centralized reading systems and consumption management systems among others.
