As part of efforts to further improve on commercial effectiveness across the diverse industries in which it operates, Century Group has appointed new executives to manage operations and administration across the group.
A statement by the company on Wednesday said Harold Obasohan has been appointed Chief Operating Officer, Operations & Strategy, while Maclaren Kosuowei has been appointed Chief Operating Officer, Administration.
According to the statement, Obasohan has been with Century Group for eight years, during which he has applied his extensive experience in diagnosing and resolving opportunity and performance gaps, as well as strategy and innovation gaps in the company’s business development strategies.
“He has over 20 years experience in the sector and this includes international energy business development across West African oil and gas producing nations in the last four years,” the statement added.
It said as COO, Strategy, he would be responsible for strategy and operations management; integration, planning and monitoring of company’s systems toward the fulfillment of the company’s vision; developing new business strategies; building internal capacity for improved productivity and optimal utilisation of resources for company’s growth potentials.
The new COO Administration, Kosuowei, according to the statement, has over two decades of experience in banking management, corporate finance and risk management.
He said, “He has been pivotal to the development of Century’s internal operational activities since inception and has applied his wealth of experience from the public and private sectors to give direction to the company’s operations and support services.
“He had previously held the position of Managing Director of Century Bumi Limited. Kosuowei will now direct, administer and coordinate the internal operations of the company for good corporate governance and the continuous development and strengthening of the company’s systems in accordance with international best practices.”
Century Group is a global industrial group operating in the energy and non-energy sectors through seven main subsidiaries including Century Energy Services Limited, Century Ports and Terminals Ltd, Century Exploration and Production Limited, and Century Shipping and Logistics Limited.
