Bayelsa State Governor, Henry Seriake Dickson, Wednesday called on the federal government to accord special attention to the Brass Liquefied Natural Gas project (LNG) to ensure its successful take off, THIS DAY reports.

He also urged the management of Nigeria Agip Oil Company (NAOC) to site a modular refinery and build its corporate office in the state, with a promise to provide land for the purpose. Dickson made the call during separate meetings with the top management officials of the Brass LNG and NAOC in Government House, Yenagoa.

While he described the Brass LNG project as strategic towards accelerating the pace of socio-economic wellbeing of the state, Niger Delta and the country at large, the governor decried the delay and stressed the need for all stakeholders to work together to bring the project into fruition.

The Managing Director of the Brass LNG, Mr. Daniele Tamborini and his NAOC counterpart, Mr. Massimo Insulla, on their own parts lauded the Dickson-led administration for its security efforts, which has significantly enhanced their operations in recent times.
