$2.9m budgeted for the rehabilitation and strengthening of Togo’s electricity network

The project of reforms and investment in the energy sector in Togo (PRISET) will allow to rehabilitate and reinforce several electrical installations.

After the contract won by Tunisia’s Steg International Services, a subsidiary of the Tunisian Electricity and Gas Company (STEG), aimed at rehabilitating and reinforcing underground and aerial MV networks, other works aimed at rehabilitating source stations are considered on the same project.

The selection of the company in charge of this work was the subject of an international competitive bidding process and, according to the award notice made public by the Compagnie Energie Electrique du Togo (CEET), c Ivorian ABB Technology is expected to carry out this work for just over CFAF 1.7 billion (about $ 2.9 million).

Once the service order has been notified in order to start the works, the Ivorian company will have 12 months to execute and deliver this work, which is in line with the national electrification strategy to make the work accessible. energy to all by 2030.
